Ahikam Seri (b.1972, Jerusalem) is a documentary photographer and video journalist based in Jerusalem.

​

His work regularly appears in magazines and newspapers in Europe and US.

 

Between 1995 and 1998 he studied photography at Hadassah College in Jerusalem.

 

He then went on, up until 2002, taking freelance assignments for Israeli media.

​

Since 2002 to date, he completed assignments and published reportage, in Politiken,

 

L'espresso, Time, Paris Match, Ei8ht, Private, IoDonna, D La Repubblica Delle Donne, Le Monde and Independent Magazine, among many other international titles.

​

His reportage had received international recognition; an IFDP grant from FiftyCrows (US 2003), an Allroads Photography award from National Geographic (US 2004), a Nikon NPCI 1st place (JP 2003) and PDN Photo Annual (US 2008), among several others.

​

Seri's work was solo-projected at the photojournalism festivals Reportage (AU 2010) and Visa Pour L'image (FR 2004), and was featured in international noted group exhibitions and book projects, such as "This Day of Change" by Courrier Japon (JP 2009), "Nazar" and "Act of Faith" by Noorderlicht photo festival (NL 2004 & 2007), and "Reality Crossings" by Mannheim photo festival (DE 2007).
