Deborah Cherki was born in 1979 in France. She arrived to Israel in 1996.

Since 2000, she was working and running a professional photo lab that specialized in service for Photojournalists from Israel and around the world.
​
After this experience, Deborah expanded her skills and started working as a video editor for several TV Stations and was involved in editing of several documentary films.
​
She has also worked on numerous projects for public relations agencies on commercials as a director, producer or editor.
​
Her passion for photography led her to collaborate on the design and graphic realization of the photographic book "Existence - Jerusalem 1995-2005" of her husband, photojournalist, Ilan Mizrahi.

Together they filmed, produced, directed and edited their documentary film "Rise of the Right" for the television channel Al Jazeera International.
​
In 2007, she decided to expand her knowledge of Israel and became licensed as a tour guide by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
​
Since then she combines both skills as Tour Guide and documentary storytelling, and specializing in gastronomic cultural tours.
